Video: Microsoft Virtual Earth demo by Stephen Lawler

Microsoft’s Stephen Lawler gives a whirlwind tour of Virtual Earth, moving up, down and through its hyperreal cityscapes with dazzlingly fluidity, a remarkable feat that requires staggering amounts of data to bring into focus. Google might still be ahead of the game, but even in beta, Virtual Earth shows incredible promise. Microsoft’s visions for the product — as a provider of real-time weather and traffic data, or a realistic backdrop for game developers and IM conversations, or virtual ad space — all seem well within the limits of possibility.

Notepad++ is a free source code editor (and Microsoft XP’s generic Notepad.exe replacement), which supports several programming languages, running under the MS Windows environment.

This project, based on the Scintilla edit component (a very powerful editor component), written in C++ with pure win32 api and STL (that ensures the higher execution speed and smaller size of the program), is under the GPL Licence.

This project is mature. However, as you can see it’s a one-man-project, there are still some bugs and missing features. If you have any question or suggestion about this project, please post them on the forums. As well, if you have any feature requests, you can always make the demand, but there’s no guarantee that I’ll implement it.

You’re encouraged to translate Notepad++ (if it is not present in the Download Section) and/or to translate the Notepad++ official site into your native language.

I used to use this editor to edit Blogger’s templates and upload it to Blogspot.

Notepad++ is very lite and powerful. You can replace Microsoft Words in most cases.

Google Pack. Always free and trusted software from Google.

Google team is adding more and more awesome softwares to already powerful package. It’s huge download but very useful and you don’t need to look for any freeware for your computer. No other internet company tried or done this before as far as I can remember before Internet bubble popped. Google is distributing professional quality softwares for no fee, no strings attached and no advertising bars. I’m wondering what will be added to this Google Pack. Google engineers are receiving tons of suggestions from around the world everyday. Can you think of anything to add to Google Pack? Well, I’d like to see a PC diagnostic tool in Google Pack.
