It would be sensible for a person who does not have a car to just go to car rentals and rent a good one to use. Although it is a bit costly, it is still a necessity since the car would be really useful. For fathers that still don’t have money to finance car loans, I’m sure a lot of them would go to car rentals and just rent one.

Rheostats are not used to control fan speeds. It is a simple switch and a separate series of resistors, aka. resistor pack. The resistor pack is burned out, the high speed setting uses no resistor, just a direct 12 volt connection that is why it still works on high. Probably a $20-30 part. Dealer might charge about $100 to fix it.
